Committee Work

Where the real debates and public input happen for the City! Starting January 2024, I am serving on the following three committees:

Municipal Corporations

The Municipal Corporations Committee, or MuniCorp for short, is the committee that oversees many of the public-private partnerships in the city. These municipal corporations include:

-the Capital Improvement Board
-the Indianapolis Airport Authority
-the Indianapolis Public Transportation Corporation (aka IndyGo)
-Health and Hospital Corporation
-the Indianapolis-Marion County Public LIbrary (aka IndyPL)

Parks and Recreation

The Parks and Recreation Committee, or Parks and Rec for short, is the committee that considers issues that affect parks’ land use, arts and recreation opportunities in the city. This includes greenways, local arts organizations, golf courses, community centers, and other leisure services.
